What you can change without spending a token

Open your site in the builder, click Edit in the toolbar and switch the picker to Text mode. Then click directly on the thing you want to change.

Text

Click any heading, paragraph or list item and rewrite it. Bold, italic, underline, alignment, font size and colour are all in the same panel. The Improve with AI suggestions in there are free too.

Buttons, cards and boxes

Change background colour, text colour, corner roundness, padding and font size, edit the button label, or delete the element entirely.

Images and video

Click any image, including background images, to replace it. Search free stock photos, upload from your device, paste from your clipboard or reuse your saved library. Only AI image generation costs tokens.

Logo and icons

Click your logo to upload a new one. Click any icon on the page to swap it for a different one.

Site settings

Site-wide heading and body fonts, brand colours, your site title and description for search engines, the favicon in the browser tab and the image shown when your link is shared.

Version history

Every save is kept. If an edit goes wrong, roll back to an earlier version from the history panel. Also free.

Where it lives

Four clicks to your first free edit

1. Open your site

Go to My Sites and open the site you want to change. It loads in the builder.

2. Click Edit

The Edit button is in the toolbar above your site preview.

3. Switch to Text mode

A small AI / Text toggle appears. Text mode is the free, hands-on one.

4. Click anything

Click text, a button, an image or an icon and the matching editor opens. Save when you are done.

The honest split

When you would still use the AI editor

Manual editing covers content and styling. Structural work goes through the AI chat and uses tokens, typically 1,000 to 3,000 per edit:

  • Creating a new page and adding it to your navigation
  • Changing where a link or button points
  • Moving, duplicating or rearranging whole sections
  • Adding new sections, features or layouts
  • Generating new copy, images or video with AI

A good rhythm for a working business site: let the AI do the heavy lifting when the structure changes, and keep the week-to-week updates (dates, prices, availability, wording, photos) in the free manual editor.

Manual edits never use tokens. Clicking on text, buttons, images, your logo or icons and changing them by hand is free on every plan, every time. Tokens are only used when you ask the AI chat to make a change or generate content, images or videos.
